The BIO 113 Virtual Museum of Paleontology

Introduction to The Virtual Museum

The pages linked below go to photographs of fossils, fossil casts, or reconstructed skeletons of prehistoric life, with an emphasis on vertebrates, especially dinosaurs. The majority of the images were taken at various museums around the United States, especially in the west, although a few images taken of fossils in the field ("in situ") or from my own personal collection are also included to fill some diversity gaps. Most of the fossils that you will see in lab (either in person or in the virtual lab pages) are on the pages for that lab and not repeated here. This virtual museum is mostly designed to show you various museum exhibits since you will not be able to visit all of these on your own.
